A little about Kingfisher OK

Kingfisher, OK is a small town located about 40 miles northwest of Oklahoma City along SH 81/3 with a population of about 4500. Kingfisher is considered to be a bedroom community for those who work in Oklahoma City. Geographically it's not a big town as it's only a mile or two long and about 1/2 mile wide. But in that little space Kingfisher packs quite lot.

As the birthplace of Sam Walton and one of the stops along the famous Chisholm Trail Kingfisher does indeed have a rich history. Settled as part of the Oklahoma land run it is now a rich and vibrant community. You'll find lots of things to do in Kingfisher.  If history is what you're looking for you'll find the Chisholm Trail Museum and the Governor Shay Mansion.  Both offer a glimpse into our rich past. If you are looking to do something outdoors we have one of the nicest golf courses in Central Texas. The fees are reasonable and the scenario is fantastic.

Besides the recently built walking trails Kingfisher has an indoor aquatic center with an Olympic sized pool that is also be rented for kid's birthday parties.  Our sports complex includes baseball fields and soccer fields that are used almost year round for games.  There are several good restaurants in town and you'll find an excellent coffee shop also. We also have one the first digital 3D movie theaters in the area that includes 3 screen.  That no small feat for a town our size and it's something we are all very proud of.

Kingfisher OK real estate is both affordable and varied. From small modern homes to historic homes and everything in between you'll find them in Kingfisher. You'll find homes along Main Street as well as homes in newly developed subdivision. You'll find housing in Kingfisher for just about any budget and for any style of living.
