Choosing the Right Eyeshadow

There are a lot of eyeshadow cosmetics in your local beauty counters. It's almost impossible which one to choose. Because of this, a lot of women consider doing some research first in choosing the best eyeshadow for them. Some women are not really particularly loyal with a makeup brand but once they find their ideal eyeshadow or what is often referred to as their HG "Holy Grail" Eyeshadow then they would stick to it.

If you are one of the many who still have not found their HG eyeshadow then take a look at this guidelines in helping you shop.

1. Consider looking around at the eye shadow sale, when testing out new products since they would be at a discounted price and you would not feel bad if you did not like what you bought.

2. Make a list of 5 basic colors that you would often use and for a month shop for different brands of eyeshadow in the same color as your list.

3. From this list, buy different kinds of eyeshadow as well, like the powder eyeshadow, cream eyeshadow, eyeshadow in sticks or pencils, sometimes they even come in a tube. Simply try them out to see which ones are more convenient for you.

4. Compare each eyeshadow according to the following categories:

Color Payoff - Do they color your eyelids in the same way as their color looks like from the pan?
Ease of Blending - Do they easily blend with other eyeshadow of the same brand? What about with other brands?
Longevity - How long does it take before you need to reapply again? Would they stay longer if you applied an eyeshadow base first?
Texture - Do they flake off all over your face? Or do they evaporate easily when you sweat a little bit?

5. After considering these things, try to compare them with your friends' cosmetics. Not everyone has the same reaction to a certain product anyway and they may give you tips on how they apply their makeup.
