Customer Service Manager Salary

As with most positions, there is a wealth of resources to find out what the average customer service manager salary should be.

An internet search is a great way to find out more information about jobs. When searching for salary information on Google, PayScale is at the top. The salaries are broken down into the years of experience and only indicate the median salary. In this case, the median salary was $28,735 to 39,662 for less than one year's experience and $47,877 to 71,080 for 20 years or more of experience. However, on the left side of the page one can enter more details and get a more accurate range. That tab allows the user to enter the job title, the country, the state, the city, and of course their experience level.

If you go to salary.com, the site has a lot of information, including average salaries. The numbers there are quite different from PayScale's estimates. Granted the numbers are several months old. They show a manager's salary in this industry as between $58,679 and $80,572. Unfortunately, this site is not as easy to navigate. In order to find the salary wizard, one must click on the tab that says Free Salary Wizard, rather than click directly from the page you are already on. The wizard is also not as comprehensive. It only allows a person to put their title and location.

Another way to find salary information is through several of the job sites. Indeed.com, which gathers job information from throughout the web, also has a salary calculator. Career Builder is another site that has a salary calculator. If you know other people in the field well, it doesn't hurt to ask them what they are being paid. However, the best bet is to look at several job listings in various companies to find a customer service salary.
