Excessive Sweating

Excessive sweating is a symptom that many companies are taking advantage of, like deodorant manufacturers, in adding to their bottom line. This brings forth two questions. What constitutes excessive sweating? And is excessive sweating necessarily a harmful condition?

Sweating profusely is often evident with people who are overweight. The first measure to be taken is to get the individual's weight down to the proper number of pounds for that person. This depends on body shape and height.

Excessive sweating is manifested when the job at hand is difficult to complete because the sweat gets in your eyes and on your paperwork. This can be very frustrating. But, it is not necessarily something to worry about. All people sweat different amounts because of the differing amounts of fluids in their body and the general genetic makeup. No two people are the same; no two bodies are symmetrical. Physicians will tell you that excessive sweating is not something to worry about. More often than not the doctors will direct you to drink more fluids. They will also tell you that your body knows when it needs water. It tells you this by giving you a thirst which must be quenched.

When you sweat a lot and often, this is a positive thing. Your body is cleansing itself of toxins and ridding the body of excess water at times. If too much water is lost, the solution is easy; drink fluids. A diet rich in all vitamins, minerals and supplements, will make sure that nutrients are replaced when they are washed out along with the toxins. It is not a negative to replace or exchange your body's water by means of sweating and then drinking fresh water.

Do not worry about sweating profusely. There are more serious health matters to be concerned about. Being obese is far more of a danger than sweating more than most other people.
