As our lives get busier and busier, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find time for our collecting and hobbies. With people working longer hours than ever, and family commitments, it can be really hard to fit in doing stuff for ourselves. When you are in this situation you need to make time.
The first things you need to do it consider if you just have too many interests. While there is nothing wrong with being interested in a lot of things, it can be stressful trying to find time to do them all. You should think about your hobbies and try and work out which is the most important for you, and what you could perhaps stop doing. If you have less things to focus on, you will be able to have more time to spend on your fewer hobbies as your time won’t be spread between all of them.
As with considering if you have too many hobbies, you should also think about whether you have too many chores to do. Do you keep your home spotlessly clean for example? If you clean everyday, could you drop this back to every other day and still have a nice clean home? This would free up some extra time to spend doing the things that are important to you, and you will feel far more relaxed for it.
Think about getting some help round the home. Time is very precious, and if you can afford to hire a cleaner or someone to help with chores, it frees up time for you to spend on your hobbies. To do this you need to get your head around the fact that money can create time if you use it to pay someone else to do some of the tasks that suck time away from what you would rather be doing. Think about how much your time is worth, and you’ll be able to consider whether this step will work for you.
