How to Safely Use A Two-Post Car Hoist Lift

The main objective of this article is to show you how to properly and safely use a two-post car hoist lift. Just like with other types of automotive lifts, a two-post hoist must be used with extreme caution. Bear in mind that the weight capacity of the two-post hoist that you will be using should always be greater than the actual weight of the vehicle that it needs to lift. Before you perform any lifting task, it is important that you wear protective clothing and equipments that is suitable for the task that you have to carry out. In addition, your clothing and safety equipments should conform to the local safety regulations and policies stipulated when performing heavy lifts. If in case you see any signs of rust, or you are in doubt of the current state of the hoist, do not pursue the task.  Doing so might just lead to accidents which can be dangerous not only to you but also to the other people working in the area.

Be sure that you are aware on how to properly operate the two-post hoist. One of the common reasons of accidents is the lack of knowledge on the proper operation of the hoist lift. It is important that operators who have experience and have participated in significant trainings are the only ones to be allowed to operate such a delicate and dangerous lifting machine.

Make certain that there is enough headroom above the vehicle before beginning the lift. This is very important to ascertain that there is enough head clearance that will accommodate the lifted vehicle.
