Marshmallow Guns A Cheap Fun Alternative

When it comes to family time and how to spend it wisely there seems to be a never ending supply of things to do and suggestions from others.  However, to find something that is truly fun for the entire family and doesn’t break the bank?  Well that is a whole other thing entirely!  Enter the marshmallow gun.  Made of either cheap plastic (when purchased in a retail store) or of PVC material (if made by yourself or bought online) you can find one for a song and the amount of joy it can bring is immense.  And after the initial purchase your only expense is time and a common household item in just about everyone’s pantry: a bag of mini marshmallows.

So when I talk about hours of fun perhaps you are thinking that after a short period of time it would get boring.  And to be sure if you simply use it to shoot at the wall or a target in the house or garage, it definitely could be boring pretty quickly.  However, if you use a little imagination you can easily find ways to keep it new and exciting.  Even a simple change of scenery can make it a fun and new experience.  Move to the backyard or a local park with that exact same target and it is another way to use the marshmallow gun for fun.

And if you aren’t one to think up your own ideas, simply head over to Youtube and you will find a wide array of ways that people use marshmallow guns to keep things fun.  Just the other day I went over there and found a couple of great videos.  One was showing a small contingent of marshmallow shooters taking their misinterpreted youthful enthusiasm out on a poster of Hannah Montana.  Another one shows a hilarious made up scene of a marshmallow gun ambush. And none of these even talks about finding your favorite 5 people, heading to a local park with trees and having a knock down, drag out  marshmallow gun war.  This alone could be done every weekend for years and be fun.  Keep trying different things and you will be able to use the guns for years upon years and create many memories over time.
