For all Tamil movie buffs, Tamizh Padam comes as a pleasant surprise because no one has ever tried a full length comical parody like this one when compared to all the other serious story lines that is taking to the limelight. It is a spoof run full length without causing any serious sentimental implications on any one from the Tamil film industry.
A regular watcher will certainly identify each spoof and associate it with their favorite heroes, concepts and scenes from famous movies. The story begins with the landlord ordering to kill any male child born in the village. The reason is simple, when they grow up boys abandon their village and run away to cities in search of better living conditions. So the landlord hates boys.
he hero of the movie, the child initially, asks his grand mom to leave him a goods train so that he can reach the city safely. The child grows up to become a young man and is depicted by the rotating the wheels of the bicycle, typical of movies showing somebody growing up.
In the same way most of the turning points in the story are depicted using popular styles of most of the heroes, heroines, and comedians or adapting the styles used by famous movie directors. Tamil actress has not been given much of a highlight in this Tamil movie.
Since you know that it is a full time spoof, you are sure not to expect anything logical in the movie, but a full length entertainer. It can also be considered as a glorious tribute to the do's and don'ts of heroism, characterization and plots usually used in movies. In all, it has used scenes from famous movies, typecast characters just for the sake of making a spoof movie. The characters have all done a wonderful job. Kudos to the director.
