The Movies About Magic

Movies about magic are very intriguing because at one time or another everyone finds themselves wishing they had some sort of magical power. By watching movies about magic, people can escape, temporarily, from the ho hum of everyday life and be transported to a place where anything is possible with the flick of the wrist or the casting of a spell.

There are countless movies about magic and they take many different forms. They can either be scary, serious, or lighthearted. They either have lots of special effects, or are more focused on a story line. There are some common themes that many movies about magic are based upon.

The most obvious theme is witches, wizards, demons, and the supernatural world. The topic is usually good versus evil and the struggle for power. This style of movie is often based largely on special effects with lots of battles and supernatural creatures.

Animated children's magic movies often portray magic in the traditional sense with a witch wearing a big pointy hat, having a long noise, and stirring a bubbling cauldron. Often there is a good witch and a bad witch who do battle throughout the movie, with the good witch being triumphant over the evil witch in the end.

Another popular theme is where someone wishes they could go back in time. They either want to relive what they considered the best time of their life, or they want to go back and do it right with the knowledge they have now. With the help of supernatural powers they are transported to a past life, however, they quickly realize nothing is ever as good as they remember it to be.

Switching places with another person is also a common theme. The character is unhappy with their own life and they wish they could be someone else. They magically switches bodies with someone else and experience first hand what it is really like to be that other person. But just like time travel, they often come to realize that they have it pretty good after all and the person they were envious of is miserable too.

A magic movie have long been and will continue to be popular with all age groups. With the wide array of themes there is a story line for everyone. Movies about magic will continue to intrigue and entertain audiences around the world.
