Its not surprising that many people as questioning e cigarette safety now that this device is becoming popular with smokers who are trying to kick the habit. The fact is that the e cig hasn't been properly tested so it can be difficult for us to make a decision regarding whether or not we want to use them. We want to stop smoking for the good of our health so it wouldn't make much sense to move over to a product that did just as much damage.
So how do we come to a conclusion about whether its worth taking the risk when switching from tobacco to the e cigarette? The truth is that at the moment there is no way to tell absolutely how much you are putting your health in jeopardy, but you can use your own common sense and work out an answer for yourself.
We all know for a fact that cigarettes are deadly, indeed half of all people who smoke for a lifetime can expect to have their number of years on the planet shorted by their habit. The nicotine, tar, carbon monoxide, and 4000 other carcinogens in the smoking products you are currently using are sending you to an early grave, and its time you did something about it.
In comparison, electronic cigarettes looks like a true health product, although that isn't to say that it is completely safe. When you use one of these products you definitely do cut down on the poisons you inhale into your system. E cig vapor contains only nicotine, propylene glycol, and a very small amount of flavorings. It would seem to me that this has to be preferable to the cancer causing agents in burning tobacco smoke.
The only small concern I would have with E Cigarettes would be with the propylene glycol which makes the vapor visible, but since this is the same chemical used in smoke machine at music concerts my belief is that its highly unlikely to be of major concern.
