Too High For Normal Glucose Levels

Metabolic syndrome is a big way to say your blood pressure is too high, your waist is too big and your blood glucose is too high too. There are a lot of toos in that description and what you need are a lot of normals to take their place. Too many toos are a good thing if it describes the dollars in your bank account, or the number of scholarships you have too college, but when it’s your health being described it’s definitely time to make some changes.

Normal glucose levels would be the first thing to change from too to normal. Glucose level is the amount of glucose in your bloodstream and it’s necessary to have glucose in our blood to feed cells that need it for fuel. How much stays in our blood is determined by the amount and effectiveness of insulin in our bodies. If your body produces too little then a poor job of regulating your blood sugar level is taking place. But if you are insulin resistant from getting obese and other factors then a turn around can take place by changing eating habits and adding exercise to your day.

For most people with metabolic syndrome normal glucose levels are best achieved by switching to a diet full of fresh vegetables, fruit and lean meat, a diet that would give anyone benefits, not just someone with too many toos. Fruits and vegetables are full of fiber as well as other nutrients that get removed from processing and packaging food. Fiber is not digested and helps slow down glucose absorption into the blood stream, those two things help lower glucose levels by themselves. In short you are decreasing the input of sugars and replacing them with fiber, a switch your body should love.

This switch alone will help with that too large waist and over time should help decrease blood pressure. Make the switch and concentrate on the normals as persistence and discipline will make them not too hard to attain.
