Ceiling fans and the combo version aka the ceiling fans heater have now become more popular with the onslaught of the Global Financial Crises. There was a time when the use of ceiling fans was no longer popular. This started around the time of the Great Depression and continued until the 1950s although there were still a lot of countries that were using it, especially those that had warm climates where people were not able to afford air conditioning which was more costly. When the energy crisis of the late 1970s occurred, a lot of household and businesses were already using ceiling fans for comfort. However, the manufacture of ceiling fans in the early 1990s went down once again as more people preferred air conditioning.

It was not until early 2000 that ceiling fans have been once again given importance. Maybe this was because more companies revolutionized the use of ceiling fans by making them more decorative, more useful, and by promoting its energy-saving value.

Although it is true that ceiling fans are unable to change temperature like air conditioning, they are very useful so long as they are used in the proper way. They can be used the whole year round and are not solely confined for use during summer.

If you want to maximize the benefit that you can get from ceiling fans, look for those that can be adjusted to rotate clockwise and counter clockwise. Setting it to turn in the former would help distribute warm air through out the room. Setting it to turn in the latter would enable to produce a breeze which is very beneficial during summer.

Never leave the room without turning the ceiling fan off so that you would be able to save more energy. Also bear in mind that you have to look for quality ceiling fans heater as there are still products that were made with sub standard materials.
