When talking about personal finances, the topic of your credit score is bound to come up. In the modern world we have become obsessed with our credit scores, because an increasing portion of the money being spent is on credit. This leads many to wonder if a perfect credit score is attainable and what they would need to do to get to that point.
The answer to the basic question is that a credit score of perfection is in fact possible, but highly unlikely and rather unneeded. A flawless score is considered to be a score of 800, but very few people ever attain that. A majority of people are nowhere near this number, but that doesn't stop so people from trying to get their. The problem with attempting to do this is that the credit companies make it nearly impossible to do. Even if you have paid all of your debts on time and in full, you can still miss the mark.
Any slight error on your credit report can prevent the 800 score, or a number of other factors can keep you just short. However, it is no necessary to have an 800 in order to qualify for anything you want. Once you hit the 750 to 775 area on your score, you are basically considered to have flawless credit, and thus you will qualify for just about anything you need. If you want to take out a loan with 775 credit, there is a very good chance that you will get that loan, as long as you don't try to take out too much.
Some people may try to obsess over getting a score of 800 as some kind of symbol of pride, however you now know that there is no reason for this. If you even attempt to get this score, you will likely fall short anyway.
